Frequently Asked Questions
Can you really do an entire renovation?
Yes we can! PF Design Studio was born out of a need to provide Lethbridge with a one stop renovating shop. We have traditionally worked with flooring and tiles since 2001 but have since expanded our services to full renovations. We can do as little or as much as you need.
Services include but aren’t limited to: Flooring, Tilework, Lighting, Plumbing Fixtures, Cabinetry, Countertops, Home Décor, Appliances, Furniture, and Window Coverings.
Can I just buy the product from you and install it myself?
Of course! We supply product to weekend warriors all the time. We carry a selection of products that are DIY friendly and manageable to install yourself. One of our senior installers can give you an in-home tutorial on the best methods for prep and installation. We do recommend that we install products like carpet, hardwood, and large intricate tiling jobs.
For bigger projects like kitchens, plumbing, or electrical projects, we leave that with our installers or trade partners to complete.
Does PF Design Studio provide free estimates?
Yes we do! Once you come in and choose the products and services that you want, we will send someone out to measure your space and provide you with a free estimate for your project. We go through the estimate with you in person and answer any questions you may have.
What about design consultations?
Yes, we do that too! Design consultations are for customers who want to renovate but aren’t sure where to start. Our design team puts together one or two packages for you depending on your style and purpose for the renovation. We then modify according to what you like or don’t like.
After products are picked, we send someone to measure and go through the estimate with you.
Which is the best type of flooring?
There are pros and cons to every material when it comes to price, aesthetics, upkeep, durability and physical impact. Consulting our design team will help you choose flooring options that are right for you and your needs.
What type of flooring should I choose if I have pets?
A low, or cut pile carpet works well with pets. Looped piles can snag on nails and pull out of the carpet. Luxury Vinyl Plank/Tile is a good option for people with pets or children as it has high durability for things like furniture scuffs and pet claws. Vinyl plank/Tile can be easily removed if a piece gets damaged and it is also water resistant.
What types of flooring do you carry?
We carry carpet, carpet tiles, luxury vinyl plank, luxury vinyl tile, laminate, engineered and solid hardwoods, fibre floor, cork flooring, ceramic tile, and porcelain tile.
Can I shop your store online?
Soon! We are working towards getting an online shop of for out flooring and tile sections of the store, look for it in 2018!
